This Is Just A Messed Up Dream Chap.2

“They make my heart go 246 246 not because I’m dirty not because I’m clean not because I kiss a Hobbit behind an apple tree,” I sung as I was playing patty cake with the little girl,Amanda. I had to switch it up so she would understand. Some of the other kids went home by now because it was dark. Gandalf still hasn’t come back for me.

“Can you tell another story?” Amanda asked when we got done.

“Sure honey how about The Little Mermaid?” I asked and she simply shrugged. It was good that I didn’t have to make up a story because she probably wouldn’t understand any of them. Nobody in has ever heard the stories I grew up with oddly.

“Olivia come along,” said Gandalf at the gate.

“I’m coming,” I said standing up from the grass I was sitting on. Amanda quickly grabbed my hand.

“You’ll come back right?” she asked me with pleading eyes.

“Of course we still need to find out wether Ariel makes the deal with the witch.”

She smiled and hugged me. I was shocked it seemed like forever since somebody hugged me...the last person who hugged me was-no! I kneeled down and gave her a real hug. I left trying not to cry. Tori was the last person who hugged me but no I couldn’t even see that cute smile of hers let alone hug her.

“The dwarves are anxious to see you,” said Gandalf breaking the silence.

“Did you tell them?”

“Yes,”

“Hold up they believed you?” I asked wondering what kind of idiots were they.

“Not at first but I am a wizard so eventually they did. Be prepared to answer questions.”

“Perfect,”I muttered.

When we got there I fit in the door quite nicely while Gandalf had to bend down. My eyes widened when I saw....ten,eleven,twe-thirteen scary men and one less scary men staring at me.

“Wee lass ain’t she,”said a man.

“Not to mention skinny,”said the oldest guy there.

I blushed and looked at Gandalf. He simply shrugged. One came up to me and bowed and picked up my hand and kissed it,”I-I’m Ori miss.”

I smiled at him and took his hand and mine to where it was in the position that we could shake them.”Olivia but call me Livy,”I said as I shook his hand.

“Is that a custom at your world?”

“It is polite yes.”

He nodded and backed away. I turned my head towards the direction of the shortest man there.

“Mr.Baggins?” I asked

“Yes, yes hello,”he shook my hand.

“Hi.”

They all introduced me and then came two men at once,”I’m Fili.” said the blonde one and kissed my hand.

“I’m Kili,” he smiled and kissed my hand. He was cute or gorgeous or beautiful or whatever you call the men here. Then came the men that scared me the most.

“Thorin.” But he didn’t hold out a hand for me to shake.

“It’s nice to meet you.”

He simply nodded. Then men went in the dining room and Gandalf signaled me to follow them.

“Psst,”I heard and turned my head towards Kili who patted the chair next to him.I couldn’t help but smirk. Thorin started to give a huge lecture but I muted him quickly. I didn’t say anything if that’s what your thinking I just do that when I’m bored. I just couldn’t mute out the hoorays.

“Give them the contract,”muttered Thorin.

Balin gave Bilbo the contract and I walked over to him and had to my hand on his shoulder so he would stop pacing and that I could read. I signed it not really wanting to read all of that and walked back to my seat next to Kili.

“Just like that? Your not even going to read it all?” Bilbo asked me bewildered.

“Just like that,” I shrugged.

“I love your accent,”said Ori fiddling with his fingers.

“American?” I asked.

“Is that what it’s called?” he asked looking at me.

“Yes,sweetie.”

There was a burst of laughter as Ori’s face got red even Thorin couldn’t help but smile. I looked at Kili who glared at Ori. Why was he glaring? I muted out everything until I saw Bilbo faint. I gasped and hurried over to his side. His eyes slowly fluttered open after a couple of minutes.

“Aw are you okay?” I asked helping him up.

“Yes,” he said rubbing his head and then looked down at my feet.

“Oh, where are my manners. I’m sorry I didn’t know you wanted me to take my shoes off,” I said rambling a bit.

“No no your feet might get squashed if you do,”he smiled,”I just never seen any shoes like that.”

“There quite popular in my world.”

“Weird style if I may say.”

“You may.”

Some men went to go get a beer while I sat in a comfortable chair sipping my water.

“Your good at silencing everything you want to,” said Kili sitting on the armrest. I jumped I didn’t even know he was there.

“It helps sometimes.”

“I hear you handle a bow and arrow pretty well,” he looked down at me.

“Yes....does the men think it’s a good idea to have me around?” I asked nervously.

“To be honest they’re not quite thrilled,but you seem like a lovely lass,”

I blushed. Suddenly I found myself talking to him telling him about Earth he was listening hard I could tell. Fili came in with a serious look on his face. Kili nodded and held out a arm for me to take. Hesitantly I took it and he led me to where the  rest of the dwarves were. He unlooped our arms which for some odd reason made me sad.

“Far over the misty mountains cold. Two dungeons deep and caverns old. We must awake ere break of day,”sung Thorin and the men were humming the tune. It was a sad song and I didn’t know what it meant but it meant something serious to them.

“To find our long forgotten gold,”he sung once more then the rest joined in,”The pines were roaring on the height.The winds were moaning in the night.The fire was red,it flaming spread; The trees like torches blazed with light.”

I felt awkward standing there not singing but that just wasn’t my place. Slowly one by one they left going to bed. I turned and headed to sit in my chair but realized that someone else might want it.I turned my back on the wall and slowly slid down it and closed my eyes. I wasn’t sleeping I couldn’t nobody was talking or singing to me.

“Hey,” whispered Kili shaking my shoulders a bit.

“Hi,” I said without opening my eyes.

“You’ll hurt your back,lass. Come on sleep in the chair with me.”

I hesitated not really sure if I should sleep with him but then again we will be sleeping,”I will on one condition.”

“Hm?” he asked seeming curious.

“Don’t call me lass.” I said opening my eyes and giving him a half smile.

“Alright.” he whispered and pulled me up as if I were nothing. We had quite a bit of room since I was small. Hours passed and I couldn’t fall asleep. I knew why too now here comes the awkward part. I glanced at Kili rested his head on his knuckles.

“Kili?” I whispered and nudged his side with my elbow. He jumped at first and then saw it was just me and went back to his original position.

“What?” he asked groggily.

“I can’t sleep. I can only sleep when someone talks or sings to me.”

I waited for his answer and started to wonder if he went back to sleep.

“Gandalf taught us some songs. Would you like me to sing one?”

“Yes please.”

“You are my sunshine my only sunshine you make me happy when the skies are gray...”

The only thing I remember falling asleep was my head on his shoulder and him stroking my hair.
